La Meirana" is a typical country house of Monferrato, it rises majestically in the heart of a one hundred hectare estate, surrounded by the beautiful vineyards of Gavi which were inhabited by the families of peasants who farmed the land surrounding. Today the property gives its name to the winery estate owned by the Broglia family since more than half a century, where they produce one of the best Gavi DOCG of Gavi.The house accurately reflects the atmosphere and spirit of the area; moreover it has been extended and renovated by the famous Italian architect Luigi Vietti. "La Meirana" is easily accessible from the most important cities in the North West of Italy, infact it is only one hour drive from Milan and Turin and 40 minutes from Genoa. Upon arrival you will be received by the winemaker of the winery, Fabrizio. The estate, within which you will also find our farm house, is located in one of the most beautiful and prestigious locations, just 2kms from the medieval town of Gavi, where you can discover a wealth of historic and interesting houses which once belonged to the important professional and aristocratic families of Genoa. In addition to its natural beauty and peaceful charm, the area also offers a vast array of cultural, leisure and sporting opportunities. Within a 15km radius you can find three excellent golf courses, equestrian centres, hunting reserves and McCarthur Glen – Serravalle, with its world famous designer outlet shops. Closer to home you can spend time sampling exquisite wine, local dishes and seasonal specialities in a wide variety of restaurants, visit the fortress and palaces of Gavi or simply take a relaxing walk through spectacular countryside.
