OLD BRIDGE COTTAGE AND RIVERSIDE STUDIO
The cottage has 3 reception rooms, large kitchen/dining room, utility room, drying room, downstairs fully tiled cloakroom, sun room, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, gardens, outdoor heated swimming pool and a breeze house

The riverside studio is completely separate from the main house. It has a double bed and kitchenette in one room, a central room with a double sofa bed which overlooks the river, and a shower room which houses the sauna, shower and toilet.

ABOUT THE COTTAGE

The main hallway leads to the dining /reception hall and the large kitchen and dining area. Modern cherry wood doors and black granite worktops complement the modern Bosch appliances including five ring ceramic induction hob, electric fan oven, combination oven, full size integrated dishwasher and a fridge freezer.

There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer with ample cupboards and also a drying room off of an inner hallway.

The house is centrally heated with gas and there are two fireplaces; one is an open fireplace in the lounge and the other a gas effect fireplace in the snug. Wood is supplied for the open fire.

The dining area is equipped with large oak refectory table, matching oak benches and chairs. Stairs from the dining hall lead to the main landing and bedrooms 4 & 5.

​There are two staircases. Stairs from the snug lead to a small landing from which three of the bedrooms can be accessed, all with river views. Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds, bedroom 2 2 single beds and a bunk bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 triple bunk beds . There is plenty of storage available in farmhouse style pine wardrobes and drawers. The family bathroom consists of a bath, shower cubicle, basin and W.C.

Booster pumps power all showers in the house.

A door leads off of the central bedroom 3 to the main landing. A shower room with W.C. can be accessed from bedroom 3 and bedroom 4. Bedroom 4 has a double bed and is accessed off the main landing with views over the water meadows. Bedroom 5 is a double room with ample storage in mirrored sliding door wardrobes. The en-suite to bedroom 5 has a large double corner bath, shower cubicle, W.C. and basin.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

This is completely separate from the main house. A door from the garden leads to a central room with large patio doors looking directly onto the river and leading out to decking overhanging the river bank.

A small sofa bed makes this a great room to sit in and watch the wildlife on the river.
The bedroom has a self contained kitchenette with fridge, cooker and hob.

There is a double bed, dining table and chairs. There is ample storage behind large mirrored full width sliding doors.

The shower room contains a six seater sauna , a quadrant shower, basin and toilet .
Curtains can be drawn to around the conservatory for privacy. The studio has separate gas central heating with hot water.

The studio has it's own separate riverside garden. This has 100 feet of riverbank with fishing rights and views over to the Fish Inn, a thatched pub on the opposite river bank.

THE GARDENS
within the grounds are a heated outdoor swimming pool, 2 ponds , a thatched breeze house for al fresco dining , a 6 seater hot tub and a riverside garden. There is a brick built BBQ. The garden is South facing and very private
IDYLLIC SETTING FOR ALL SEASONS

Ringwood is a market town on the edge of the New Forest. It is an ideal place from which to explore this beautiful part of England. It has many fine places to eat and drink and a wide variety of shops, including a large Waitrose and Salisbury's all within walking distance. The market is on every Wednesday. Ringwood has several Italian restaurants including Prezzos. There are also Chinese and Indian restaurants, Bistro’s, and a very good Thai restaurant. There are any number of good pubs nearby, our favourite being the Star Inn in the Market place, which offers excellent local Ringwood Beer and wonderful oriental food, Ringwood has its own Brewery for which tours can be booked.
We also find that Framptons is a great place for drinks, music, and food.

THE NEW FOREST

Established as royal Hunting grounds nearly 1000 years ago the New forest is now a National Park, but is still managed by Commoners as it has been for hundreds of years. Commoners have ancient rights allowing them to keep horses, cattle and pigs in the Forest, which are allowed to roam freely, including through its villages.

​There are many historic places to visit within the National Park. Bealieu House and its world famous motor museum are well worth a visit. Nearby Bucklers Hard was once a thriving Naval Shipyard in the days of wooden ships and has a very interesting museum and the old village itself is very picturesque.

BEACHES & TOWNS

The long golden sandy beaches of Poole are fifteen minutes away by car. At Mudeford quay in Christchurch, one can catch a short ferry over to Hengistbury Head, beautiful at any time of year and an ideal place to go crabbing or fishing.

Bournemouth is a lively, attractive resort with an excellent choice of restaurants, clubs, cinemas and shows. From Poole one can catch a car ferry across the narrow opening of the worlds second largest natural harbour to the isle of Purbeck, and probably the best beaches in the area at Studland, owned by the National Trust. From here one can visit Corfe Castle and take a journey on the steam railway to Swanage.

The medieval city of Salisbury with its stunning Cathedral is 30 minutes by car, and Winchester a similar distance. Portsmouth with its historic dockyards, including the famous HMS Victory is 40 minutes away. London is just an hour and a half away by car or coach from Ringwood.
