Neighborhood
Originally farmland the Jacks Point Estate has been developed trying to keep the 3,000 acres in harmony with their original surroundings. From the planting of native fauna to the design of the houses this estate was 15 years in the planning.
Jacks Point is home to the acclaimed 18 hole Championship Golf Course, it has extensive mountain bike and walking trails, tennis courts, playground, sports fields and not to forget the Clubhouse and Restaurant which sit on the picturesque Lake Tewa which is also available for fly fishing. Here in Jacks Point we embrace the lifestyle and enjoy nature.
Access
Guests have full access to the property except for a locked cupboard in the hallway and 2 car parking spaces available on the driveway.
Guests do not have access to the owners bikes in the garage.
Space
When you walk into The Carmina you are instantly struck by the size of the living areas and the spectacular view from the large feature window. The living areas have been divided into a TV area, large dining area and causal seating area which includes the large, enclosed wood fire. So, depending on what you wish to do you can snuggle up with a book and enjoy the fire or watch your favourite show on the large Smart TV. We have a fully equipped kitchen with Electric Oven, gas cooktop, microwave and of course the all-important Nespresso coffee machine.
With lots of windows and sliding doors you can enjoy the winter sun or summer breeze. The central heating and wood fire keep the house warm and toasty in winter and the addition of a reverse cycle AC unit helps cool the house in summer.
The large master bedroom has its own ensuite with bath & shower. It faces towards the Remarkable Mountains providing a spectacular view to wake up to. The guest bedroom and ensuite is off the kitchen and lounge area. The single bedrooms are located at the front of the house and share a bathroom.
There are two outdoor areas to enjoy both coming off the main living area. The master bedroom & guest bedrooms also have sliding door to allow access to the back yard and open space at the rear of the house.
There is a washing machine, dryer & laundry tub located in the garage.
Transit
It is recommended you have a car but not essential as there is a public bus that runs from Jack Point every hour.
We are approx 10 minutes from the airport and the Frankton shopping district. Less than 5 minutes to the bottom carpark to The Remarkables Ski field and only 20 minutes into downtown Queenstown (subject to traffic)
Notes
There is parking in the garage for 1 vehicle and parking on the driveway for up to 3 others. Note the owners sometimes leave a car in the garage - which is why there is only parking for 1 vehicle in the double garage.
We use professional cleaners and hired linen.
House Rules
No parties, loud music or anti-social behaviour - please respect our neighbours. Outdoor area not to be used between 10pm - 7am per council rules
House to be left tidy with dishes done and rubbish in the bins provided. Bins to go out Thursday night for collection Friday morning.
No drones allowed. No smoking in the house. Please supervise your children around the fire.
Guests do not have access to the bikes in the garage.
We ask that you use the coasters on the tables at all times
