3 Bedroom Cottage in Chathill, Ellingham
Featured in a national interior design magazine, Bridge Cottage stands out to be one of most impressionable cottages in the country. It is our most luxurious cottage, perfect for a tranquil and stylish getaway. The cottage is hidden away near the sleepy village of Ellingham, yet just 2 minutes from the A1.
Located in a tranquil, rural setting between Bamburgh and Alnwick, Bridge Cottage makes for an excellent position to explore Northumberland.
Renovated from top to bottom in 2019, the cottage offers luxurious furnishings and is equipped to a very high standard.
Bridge Cottage is uniquely decorated and full of modern statements. The vaulted ceilings, bespoke joinery and contemporary colour scheme combine to create a striking interior.
The large open plan kitchen/dining room fitted with underfloor heating creates an inviting social space. The full width gable windows/doors provide panoramic rural and sea views from the dining area where deer are often viewed grazing in the fields.
There are two generously spaced double bedrooms and one bunk room suitable for children. The master bedroom has access to an en suite with a walk-in shower.
The guest and bunk room share the family bathroom complete with a bath and shower. Zip and link beds in both double bedrooms allow for flexible sleeping arrangements.
There is a £50 charge per stay for bringing a dog. We will provide a comfy bed, bowls, a towel and poo bags. For technical reasons, we will have to ask for this to be paid by BACs after making your booking.
The dining room is furnished with a generously spaced table for 6 guests. The generously sized kitchen also provides seating for 3 at the breakfast bar for more casual dining.
The living room is equipped with a smart TV and an 'Amazon Alexa' enabled Sonos speaker which can pair into a second speaker in the kitchen/dining room for fantastic acoustics when playing music. The multi-fuel stove is free to use with a complimentary basket of logs.
Sitting on the edge of Ellingham Estate (Ell-ing-jum), wildlife including deer, owls, hares and pheasants are seen regularly.
The dining room sliding doors open onto the south-facing elevated patio, blending indoor and outdoor living space. Enjoy a BBQ overlooking the stream and tiered garden which teems with colour and mimics scenes from 'The Secret Garden'.
The garden is not enclosed so young children and dogs are best supervised.
