The pretty towns of Okehampton and Tavistock are close by and there are many beautiful gardens including RHS Rosemoor and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Devon and Cornwall coastal walking, which boasts fantastic sandy beaches and hidden coves ideal for surfing or exploring the many rock pools, and the famous Eden Project are all easily accessible.
