The exciting drive over Hardknott Pass with its breathtaking views is just 10 minutes’ drive away and it leads to Eskdale village and the Cumbrian west coast. The picturesque little towns and villages of Langdale, Ambleside and Broughton-in-Furness are an easy and scenic drive, with the interesting Lakeland towns of Kendal and Ulverston a little further afield. Beach 8 miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub 1 mile and restaurant 6 miles.
