There is so much to do in the area, Truro has a beautiful Cathedral, cobbled streets, independent shops and a selection of places to eat and drink, as well as a cinema. The Hall for Cornwall offers a variety of productions, book in advance to avoid disappointment, why not have an evening meal before the show, or visit the Royal Cornwall Museum to understand the history of Cornwall. The village of Threemilestone is a 5-minute drive where you can grocery shops, a local butchers, pharmacy and an amazing fish and chip shop, along with a few other stores. St Agnes is just a 10-minute drive by car or bus, and the property is on the bus route to Truro and Newquay (via St Agnes and Perranporth).
Malpas, which is next to Truro, sits alongside the Truro and Tresillian River, walk along the river admiring the stunning scenery. Another great day out is to Trelissick Gardens, 8 miles from the property, where you can go on a circular walk part woodland and part coastal, explore the beautiful house and wander around the gardens. Why not catch the King Harry Ferry and spend a day in the popular St Mawes village, with its harbour, shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as a lovely beach and St Mawes Castle. The Roseland Peninsula is popular with walkers, wildlife lovers and water sports enthusiasts. There are plenty of activities, enjoy a relaxing day on a secluded Roseland beach or a boat trip on the Fal Estuary, and round it off with a cream tea in one of the excellent cafés, or a pint in a character pub. At the end of a busy day come back and relax in the garden and plan the next day’s activities.
