31 Crowthers Hill is a lovely pet friendly holiday home in a quiet part of Dartmouth. Just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and river Dart. Perfectly suited for one couple or a small family 31 Crowthers Hill benefits from a lovely decked garden as well as views from the master bedroom. There are some amazing walks nearby including the Diamond Jubilee Trail and the South West Coast Path. A parking permit is supplied for the nearby car park in the centre of town. Accommodation: A few steps lead up from the road to the front door. Small entrance hall space for coats and boots. Into the sitting room which has been comfortably furnished with sofa and armchairs, TV with DVD. An archway opening into the kitchen/diner with an attractive part glazed ceiling, dining table and chairs for four, cream kitchen units, electric oven and grill, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with ice box and microwave, door to back garden. Upstairs there are the two bedrooms and bathroom. The master bedroom has a standard double bed (4’6”) with metal frame and a private sunny balcony with bistro table and chairs along with views over the river and garden. The second bedroom is a single with 4ft bed. The bathroom has a shower, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail. Outside: The back garden is a peaceful spot to sit and unwind, with views over the river, decked and paved areas with garden furniture. From the garden there are views over the river. It is possible to stop outside the property to unload and a parking pass is provided for Mayors Avenue Car Park a 5 minutes’ walk away. NB: Crowthers Hill itself is steep, as is the walk up from the town centre, so the cottage may not be ideal for those with mobility problems. Parking: The car park pass provided is valid for Mayors Avenue car park a 5-minute walk away downhill (a bit longer walking back up). It is also valid across the South Hams for use in long stay council run car parks, so as well as Dartmouth you can park for free at Slapton, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Bigbury, Ivybridge and Modbury (details are on the pass). Please note that at significantly busy times of the year such as Regatta and the height of summer the pass does not guarantee a space, on the rare occasion the car park is full the permit is valid for the park and ride at the top of town. There is additional unrestricted on street parking nearby. Nearby: The town centre where you will find a selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries are a 5 minute walk away. At the bottom of Crowthers Hill you will find the Seven Stars which serves great food along with YARN and the Smith Street Deli. On the embankment you will find the Seahorse for fine dining and the Rockfish as well as a selection of ferries to Totnes, Kingswear and Dittisham. Availability: In the peak season, May, June, July and August we need to keep to a Friday changeover and a minimum stay of 7 nights stay. However, please do contact us with any requests you may have and we will accommodate if possible especially for bookings at late notice. Out of peak season we don't need to keep to a Friday changeover and do offer short breaks.
