The South Wight area is of course known for its spectacular coastline and the nearest beach at Brighstone is just a five-minute drive from the property whilst the sandy beach at Compton lies six miles to the west and offers clear waters backed by imposing cliffs. The beaches in the area are not only great for sunbathing swimming paddling and beach games but also are renowned for their fossil-rich geography where dinosaur footprints can be seen and lucky visitors may find fossils of their own to take home as souvenirs. Guests approach this beautiful Grade II listed cottage via a flight of external steps which lead through the landscaped front garden to the property s front door. Once inside guests will find the spacious lounge which is both attractive and comfortable and offers inviting sofa seating an inglenook fireplace with a wood burner and a TV/DVD. In the kitchen/diner meanwhile guests are able to easily prepare all of their favourite meals thanks to the excellent range of equipment which includes an AGA (in seasonal use from October to March) an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble dryer meanwhile are kept in a separate room which also has a WC. Returning to the lounge guests will see that three steps lead up to a light-filled twin bedroom. The remaining three bedrooms are situated on the first floor the first of which is a delightful king-size room which boasts its own TV as well as an en-suite shower and WC. A twin room and a restful double are also on this floor as well as the bathroom which offers a bath and WC. To the front of the cottage there is a lovely landscaped garden with a pretty seating area whilst to the rear a courtyard-style space offers garden furniture and a BBQ making it ideal for enjoying al fresco dining. A driveway to the side of the cottage has space for two cars however this may occasionally be occupied if there is a wedding at the neighbouring church at which times guests will be asked to use local roadside parking.
