Positive: The property was very clean and nicely decorated and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay such as a fully equipped kitchen, board games and blankets in the sitting room. There is also a log burning stove but you have to provide the logs / firelighters yourself. The host had left some sweet little touches like disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste and toiletries in the bedrooms.

Negative: When I booked this property I assumed from the photographs and descriptions that this was a detached two bedroom house but it is not. The house has been split in two with a two bedroom property underneath and at the back of the house. I was surprised that no-one mentioned this in the reviews as the family staying below us were quite noisy with kids screaming, constantly slamming doors and waking us up really early. Your bedrooms are on top of their living space and there is a hot tub directly under the landing window so it is basically like sharing the house sound wise. If the people below you are not quiet and respectful then it doesn’t make for a peaceful stay. The garden in the pictures is also the front garden by the main road not a back garden so not private or enclosed either. I would absolutely recommend booking both properties and going with friends but you are the mercy of noise levels from the other guests if not.
