Park Cottage is a quintessential Grade 2 Listed 17th Century English cottage. It sits within an acre of a mature private garden and is adjacent to the 5th Hole of the prestigious Burhill Golf Club. The towns of Walton on Thames and Weybridge are 5 minutes drive away offering good local shopping and restaurants. The property has been fully refurbished to a high standard and is a unique and charming holiday home. There are exposed beams, open fireplaces and a galleried landing all of which are original period features.
Park Cottage is set within the tranquil setting of Burhill Golf Club which is one of the finest golf clubs in Surrey. Burhill is very welcoming to non-members and has two superb 18 hole courses, each very different in style, character and golfing challenge. Burhill's Georgian mansion clubhouse, dating back to 1726, is simply stunning with restaurant and bar facilities and open to all.
This property comprises of a lounge, study and en exquisite open plan kitchen-dining-breakfast room with bi-fold doors which open straight out on to the garden. The master bedroom has a spacious vaulted ceiling, has fitted wardrobes and a en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 is also a double with a en suite natural stone tiled wet room. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds and is located next to a family bathroom. Bedroom 4, which is a very large double, has it's own en suite shower room. There is ample free off street parking for at least six cars which is directly in front of the house. Facilities also include free Wi Fi, Sky TV, a Miele dish washer, washing machine and separate dryer and the fridge freezer is made by Maytag.
Andrea, the owner of the house, will be happy to answer any of your questions and be available to help in any way. Fresh linen and towels will be provided for all guests and the price includes a cleaning service at the commencement and end of your stay. Every effort will be made to accommodate any specific requirements you may have.
Transport links to London are excellent with direct trains to London Waterloo in under 30 minutes from either Weybridge or Walton upon Thames train stations. Excellent roads provide access to London Heathrow which is only a 25 minute taxi drive or London Gatwick a little further at 40 minutes. Close by are the historic visitor attractions of Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle amongst many others. For the young at heart Chessington World of Adventures and Thorpe Park are also close by and are great fun days out for all the family.
Hiring a car is recommended but the area is served very well by a good train network allowing easy access into Central London.
