Part of an elegant Bath stone terrace, this contemporary garden apartment has a smart entrance at basement level. A long and generous entrance hall with stripped oak wood floors, rugs and comfortable furnishings connects a vaulted bedroom and bathroom at one end to a kitchen and garden room at the other with further bedrooms and a living room between.
The natural heart of this home is the large and sociable open-plan kitchen, diner and living room. The cream fitted country style kitchen is set in a large bay looking onto an imaginatively planted courtyard garden. There is an induction hob and electric oven, a large fridge and separate freezer, a small dishwasher, a krups filter coffee maker and a generous supply of crockery, cooking utensils and cookbooks to peruse at the kitchen table which seats 6. From the kitchen you can see a bright and inviting little garden room and office (where the microwave is neatly housed). French doors open to a spacious courtyard garden with an outdoor table and chairs for 6. In fine weather, you can soak up the sun and admire all 5 floors of this lovely Georgian house, built in warm Bath stone with wrought iron balconettes, walled gardens and the mature trees of Henrietta Park visible over the top.
The living room has a large electric fire with a mirror over and two large sofas to seat up to 6. In alcoves either side of the fire is a TV with DVD and X-box 360 and a selection of books and games.
The generous master bedroom in soft woodland greens has two Bath stone alcoves which previously held a cooking range and bread oven. They are now home to an elegant chest of drawers and chair, an electric wood burning effect fire, and are opposite a comfortable 5` bed and a large Edwardian mirrored wardrobe. A smart contemporary ensuite is fully tiled in a smooth barley colour and has a small deep square bath with a rainfall showerhead over, along with a handheld shower hose. There is a WC and a handy shelf space for toiletries.
A second large family bedroom in the vaults has a 5` bed along with a pretty 3` single bed. There is plenty of room for a wardrobe and chest of drawers with mirror over.
Also in the vaults is a huge contemporary bathroom tiled throughout. Drench yourselves in a vast walk-in shower at one end or take a bath which also has a hand-held shower hose. There is a large hand basin and a WC with a long shelf for toiletries.
In the lobby in front of the bedroom and bathroom is a neat utility area with a washing machine, separate dryer and other home essentials.
Finally there is a snug single room with 3` bed. Tucked behind the bed is an open storage cupboard with hanging and shelf space. Light filters through from an internal window that looks through into the office and garden room.
