Positive: Brilliant location, Flo made us feel very welcome and looked after us during our stay. The cottage was beautifully done out and was well equipped with nice touches, spaces for muddy boots in the hall and port and sherry decanters on the nightstands. We really enjoyed seeing the wildlife - even the noisy oystercatchers that came visiting. There were swallows all about circling the building and sand martens in the bank nearby. Also had a visiting hare, red kites and saw a red squirrel when we were out nearby. There are also sheep roaming about the place and cattle and game birds across the estate. It is close to some lovely places to visit, we went to Falkland & Scone palaces, spent an afternoon out in Dunkeld, which is beautiful, and took a trip over to the distillery at Lindores Abbey - their tour really brought the place to life (& they do a good lunch - but you have to book ahead for that). We had some lovely evenings in Perth - really recommend North Port if you can get a table, or try Cullach brewing’s tap room if you like good beer & pizza. Morning coffee at Artisan is really good & the walk down through the garden on the banks of the Tay is just fantastic. We had access to the hot tub & the EV charger whilst we were there and that was a great extra for us. This part of Scotland is just beautiful & this is a great place for a holiday - 😊

Negative: It’s a new venture so there were one or two things to sort out - I couldn’t live without a frying pan & a bread knife - but Flo sorted that out in no time at all and was lovely to talk to - told us more about the estate.

Summary: Really lovely cottage and a brilliant base for visiting this beautiful part of Scotland.
