On the edge of the Peak District yet close to the City of Sheffield, Charlesworth’s offers the best of both worlds! Beautiful country walks and several pubs on the doorstep, or a short drive to some of Britain’s best walks such as Stanage, Bamford and Burbage edges. For cyclists, Charlesworth’s is close to ‘Le Tour’ routes. Chatsworth House, Buxton, snooker at the Crucible, and the Tramlines Festival are all easily reached. Families and dogs are very welcome in this light and spacious cottage.
The space
This is an ‘upside down’ house to take advantage of the spectacular views over Bradfield from the lounge. Light, airy fully equipped kitchen with integrated dishwasher, fridge and separate freezer, and granite worktops. Large dining area with dining table big enough to seat 10. Lounge with comfortable leather seating for 6 (plus dogs!) set around a 43” flat screen smart freeview TV. Downstairs there is a boot room with sink and washing machine. You are welcome to leave your dogs in here for up to 4 hours while you go out. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed, chest of drawers, 43” flat screen smart TV, dressing room with hanging rail and dressing table, and en-suite bathroom with an extra-long bath with shower over. Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed with a wardrobe. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds and a chest of drawers. The main bathroom has an extra-long bath with shower over and a heated towel radiator. There is a large workspace under the stairs with desk and chair. Outside, there is a patio, with chairs and table available to dine out. Solar panels provide the energy for an EV point (restricted to overnight charging), underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. Plenty of parking on Stannington Road and space for 1 car next to the EV point.
Other things to note
Dogs are very welcome in all areas of the cottage, and can be left in the boot room for up to 4 hours. Dog bowls, dog bed and poo bags available. Please bring your own throws if your dogs wish to go on beds or sofas. Children are very welcome too! 2 stair gates, high chair and travel cot available. No smoking.
