Set atop a small wooded hill overlooking the Churnet Valley, the small but perfectly formed Churnet Lodge is ideal for couples looking for a rural holiday retreat. This detached property is located in the grounds of the owner’s home, a 16th century country house which was rebuilt in the 1800s as a gentleman’s residence, and next to a working dairy farm. Enjoying a peaceful location on the outskirts of Cheddleton and accessed by a private gated driveway, the property is ideally located for exploring the surrounding Staffordshire moorlands, with some amazing walks right from the doorstep, as well as being within easy reach of the Peak District. Alton Towers 20 minutes’ drive. Shop and restaurant ½ mile, pub ¼ mile.
All on ground floor: Living room/kitchen with breakfast area and tiled floor. 1 double bedroom with double bed. Shower room with toilet and hand basin.
Electric heaters. TV , Electric cooker. Microwave. Sitting-out area with table and 2 chairs. Shared garden with ourselves which guests and dogs are welcome to use . Parking (2 cars). We don’t provide tea and coffee or towels- the bed linen is included and the bed will be made. The property does have wi-fi………..
