The cottage has been superbly and thoughtfully renovated to offer its guests the highest quality Lake District experience. The owners have left no stone unturned in ensuring that guests at Hedgehog's Cottage are superbly accommodated and provided with everything needed for a truly wonderful self-catering break in the Lakes. From the stunning kitchen with high spec appliances to the delightful riverside garden with mountain views and unique garden pod, the cottage provides outstanding accommodation for couples, friends and families alike.
Ground Floor
Entrance hallway which also functions as useful boot room with ample storage for shoes, boots, rucksack and space for coats and outdoor gear.
Off this entrance hallway is a handy downstairs loo.
Moving further into the house you reach the stunning, extended kitchen - a real heart of the home. With stylish shaker-style cupboards offering abundant storage, this large & bright kitchen is generously equipped with high-spec appliances, including double oven, 5 ring induction hob, integrated dishwasher, fridge and freezer and everything needed to prepare and enjoy fabulous feasts. The kitchen is equipped with a plethora of induction hob compatible pots and pans, Denby crockery plus everything you'd expect in a luxury kitchen such as kettle, microwave, toaster etc. A large kitchen island with breakfast bar offers a space for relaxed socialising whilst cooking, while the solid oak table with dining benches, is the perfect place to enjoy a home-cooked meal. Bi-fold doors, with integrated blinds, open to the cottage's riverside patio garden.
To the front of the house is the cottage's sunny living room. Complete with stylish soft furnishings, a wall-mounted Smart TV, desk and feature log-burning stove built into the chimney breast, the room is warm, welcoming and the perfect place in which to relax after a busy day exploring the Lake District.
Also on the ground floor is a practical utility room complete with Belfast sink, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Finally, completing the ground floor is the cottage's garage, which can be utilised as secure storage for bikes, e-bikes and paddle-boards. There is even a resident mobility scooter ("Madge") which is available to hire exclusively for guests at Hedgehog's Cottage.
First Floor
Central landing off which there is:
Master bedroom with super king-size beds (or twin singles), wall-mounted Smart TV and en suite shower room.
Second bedroom which contains a king-size bed, has its own wall-mounted Smart TV and enjoys lovely views across the hills.
The third bedroom which is a generous single and also has its own wall-mounted Smart TV.

Outside
To the rear of the house is a delightful riverside garden. Split into to levels, the lower, enclosed level is laid to slate patio with garden furniture for al fresco dining and a gated wall to the higher section.
The upper section includes a unique garden pod where guests can enjoy relaxing and socialising outdoors, whatever the weather - the perfect place to escape with a good book or spend precious time with loved ones.
This part of the garden also includes access to the river, including a small, private riverside beach, perfect for paddling on warn summer days or for simply relaxing next to the water.
