Badger Cottage can sleep up to six guests across its four bedrooms, and the property also has two shower rooms, a kitchen diner, two living rooms, a utility room and a peaceful backyard with outdoor furniture.
The Space:
Spread across three floors, Badger Cottage has sash windows, beautiful wooden floors on the ground floor, and masses of space. The house features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, plus a kitchen diner.
Guests can unwind on the comfortable leather sofa or armchair in the main living room after a long day of sightseeing. In this space, you’ll find a Smart TV with DVD player, a log burner and coffee table.
If you fancy some time reading a book or playing a game, we’d recommend taking in the peaceful surroundings of the second living which has space for the whole family to relax.
The exquisite kitchen is also situated on the ground floor and here you’ll also find a large dining table with chairs and a bench, ensuring all guests can be catered for – Badger Cottage really is perfect for families and groups of friends.
The kitchen includes everything you need to dine in, with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, cutlery and glasses.
Just down from the kitchen is the back door that open into the backyard. Guests can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining here if they so wish (if the North Yorkshire weather permits).
All bedrooms at Badger Cottage are cosy and welcoming thanks to the characterful cottage design that has been maintained; a theme evident throughout the property. All rooms have space to store your belongings during your stay. The house features two king rooms on the first floor and two single rooms on the second floor.
There are two bathrooms in the property, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, both of which are supplied with fluffy white towels and starter toiletries for every guest. Both spaces boast large walk-in showers, wash basins and WCs.
Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Badger Cottage are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check in.
Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis. No permit is required.

Pickering has great bus routes with journeys to York, Malton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Whitby, Scarborough and Leeds.
The nearest mainline railway station can be found eight miles away in Malton with routes to Scarborough, York, Manchester and Liverpool amongst others.
Pickering rail station is where you can experience the infamous North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The station is a must see with a 1930s theme, so you’ll be transported back in time to the steam era. From here, you can travel to popular destinations such as Whitby, Grosmont and Goathland.
The nearest airport is Teesside International, 52 miles away from Pickering.
