Kist Accommodates presents.. The Gatehouse, a beautiful newly converted barn situated in a stunning rural location, ideal for those looking for a relaxing break away. This spacious and immaculately presented home lends itself well to either a larger family or two smaller families coming together to reconnect. It has everything you require for a short or long term stay including private parking for multiple cars, WIFI, several smart TVs with Netflix preloaded and an optional log burning hot tub.
The Gatehouse
Once you have parked your car in the private driveway, you enter the property directly into the hallway. If you turn right, you will be presented with the breath-taking open plan Kitchen / Dining Area.
Kitchen / Dining Area - This space has everything (and then some); dishwasher, large American fridge, Cooker, Hob, Kettle, Toaster, coffee machine, Amazon Echo, wine fridge (a personal favourite), large wall mounted smart TV, a beautiful dining table and chairs and a breakfast bar with additional seating.
Sitting Room – This is located off the Kitchen / Dining Area and houses a comfortable large u-shape sofa, coffee table, wall mounted smart TV and log burning stove for those cosy nights in.
Back to the entrance hallway. If you now look left, you will find Bedroom 1 which has a king size bed which can be split into two singles (upon request and with advanced notice). This room also has its own wall mounted smart TV.
Next to this bedroom is the utility room which contains a separate sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, and an area to hang your coats.
Again, moving back to the hallway, there is a small downstairs toilet to the left with a toilet and basin. Moving upstairs via the contemporary wooden staircase, which contrasts perfectly against the exposed stone walls, you will find the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Bedroom 2 – Located to the right, as you reach the top of the staircase, you will be presented with large double doors which lead into the first spacious bedroom. This bedroom contains a double bed, bedside tables and several fitted wardrobes with hangers provided.
On exiting Bedroom 1, you venture down the corridor to bedroom 2 (located on the left).
Bedroom 3 – This bedroom houses an emperor size bed but can also be converted to two single beds (upon request with sufficient notice). As with the other bedroom, this has ample storage space with its stylish and stylish ‘push to open’ wardrobes and bedside tables.
Family Bathroom - Further down the corridor you will discover the family bathroom which contains a roll top bath, LED mirror, shower, toilet and basin as well as luxury hand soap and lotion from the North Yorkshire’s finest soap and candle company; Tizy&Co.
Master Suite – At the end of the corridor you will find the master suite. This room houses an emperor size bed but can also be converted to two single beds (upon request with sufficient notice). This room also benefits from a large en suite shower room with walk in rainfall shower, toilet and basin.
Outside – There is a rattan seating area outside to allow you to either dine alfresco or to sit and reminisce with a glass of wine over how much you have relished your time at The Gatehouse.
Wood Fired Eco hot tub - Guests also have the option to pay an extra fee to utilise the traditional wood fired hot tub. This will cost an additional £200 for the duration of the stay. The wood fired eco hot tub is superb. Take a little time to heat it up by stoking the fire well (all part of the fun) and then soak in the deep tub and watch the stars float across the inky night sky.
