The stunning double height conservatory allows light to pour in. Slide open the enormous French doors onto the stunning south facing terrace and immerse yourself in the historic walled gardens.
Tastefully furnished with the owners personal touches, the property provides sensational family accommodation in the most private and peaceful of settings.
The bespoke kitchen with steel worktops is designed to comfortably accommodate large groups of friends and families, around a beautiful custom-made Dinesen dining table. The terrace bordering the house provides superb additional living and dining spaces.
The first floor mezzanine features a viewing platform, by day look over the Jurassic Coast and Lyme Bay, and by night a telescope for planet searching and star gazing.
The property has six bedrooms, with three en-suite and offer versatile and flexible bed configurations. The house was designed and furnished to allow tall people to stay in comfort so all shower heads have high and adjustable shower heads, and the larger beds are long without footboards.

The historic walled garden is akin to something out of The Secret Garden, set in one acre of private mixed meadow, wild flower and lawns, complete with a fairy tale turret overlooking the Jurassic Coast and arched pavilion overlooking the gardens.
Guests at The Garden House have the offer to use the owners Beach Hut located on Lyme Regis Marine Parade - equipped with beach chairs, tables, windbreak and buckets and spades. No need to bring your own.
Guests also have access to the estate's private beach. Access details are provided in the welcome information. Please note the beach is a 40 minute walk from the property and only advisable in dry weather conditions. The path is neither pushchair nor wheelchair friendly.
Rousdon is located close to Lyme Regis and Axminster which are fast becoming known as a centre for food excellence including Hix Oyster and Fish Restaurant, River Cottage and Michelin-listed Robin Wylde.
Important Property Notes:
Strictly no parties, groups of young adults, stags or hens etc. Any guest party in breach of this will forfeit their booking, any remuneration and be politely asked to vacate the property.
Staircases at the property are custom width and not suitable for affixing stairgates. Parents of young children please note this.
The beach hut - guests cannot cook within the hut or sleep in it overnight. It must be left in a clean and tidy state.
