Strawberry Water House has a fabulous, large entertaining area with a well equipped kitchen, two dining areas and large lounge with smart tv and log burner. The whole property is furnished to a very high standard in an authentic vintage style. We provide luxury linen and all the bedrooms have exceptional views.
There are 4 bedrooms. A Master with King size bed, rolltop bath and ensuite. Another King size bedroom with ensuite shower. A twin room with 2 singles (which can be made into a super king) and a double bunkbed room with 4 full size single beds suitable for adults or children. The main bathroom has a unique Victorian shower/bath.
The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens with many seating areas and a large lawn. It is a short, flat walk to the stunning beach which has a waterfall and is on the renowned South West Coast Path. The beach faces west and the sunsets are wonderful!
Welcombe Mouth is a beautiful valley, quiet and peaceful with very few properties. The nearby, award-winning Old Smithy pub serves excellent food and the local towns of Bude, Hartland and Bideford offer a variety of eateries and attractions.

“Strawberry Water was a brilliant place to spend a week. A little off the beaten track, but that suited us perfectly. The house itself had bags of character and was incredibly well thought out. Comfortable and spacious, but also snug. The freestanding bath in the master bedroom was ace! There was nothing we needed that wasn’t there. The gardens were something else! The beach was a short walk down a beautiful path. Being off the beaten track it was never too busy. Ideal for scrambling, exploring rock pools and swimming. Can’t really fault it. The house has everything we could think of (towels, bedding, fully equipped kitchen, etc.) and we adored the thoughtful little touches the hosts left for us to find upon arrival. The house is within easy walking distance to Welcombe Mouth which is an amazing, wild and authentic pebbled beach. “We had the most fantastic week at Strawberry Water - the house is extremely comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty to do from the house - you can walk to a beach and in 10 minutes you're on the South West Coastal Path. Just a short drive away are fantastic sandy beaches (we went to Sandymouth three times) and we had a great day at Hartland Abbey. The area is beautiful, the local pub (which does excellent food) is within walking distance or you can just stay at the house and relax in the lovely gardens: we even saw buzzards on our last evening.
