The Local Area
From Rockside it’s just a short trip to South Stack, a stunning lighthouse accessible via 400 steps down the headland. There is an RSPB visitor centre and cafe next door. For adrenaline junkies, Trearddur Bay and the surrounding area offer some of the country’s best “coasteering” (for the uninitiated, a form of coastal scrambling/swimming in wetsuits), and for those a little less adventurous the area is renowned for its sea kayaking. As with all of coastal Anglesey, there is the beautiful coastal footpath from which to explore the rugged coast line of the island.
