You can take the ferry or drive round to Instow on the opposite side of the estuary, with its sandy beach, bars and restaurants. The wide golden sandy beaches of Northam Burrows and Westward Ho!, which are popular with surfers, are just 2 miles away. Bideford, Exmoor, Clovelly and Hartland Quay are close by and the area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen. Whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the famous Tarka Trail which passes close by. For family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Park are both situated close by.
