Positive: We were dropping off our son to Durham University and booked one night stop here before heading back to London. We didn't expect much from a room above a pub, but we were very pleasantly surprised. Room was superb, clean, it all looked like quite recently refurbished to a very decent standard. Obviously we went downstairs to a pub for a drink and were helped by the staff to organize some extra food. Breakfast provided was very good, made to order and served fresh. We will definitely recommend this location.

Negative: Honestly couldn't find anything.

Summary: Very enjoyable one night stay.
