The Coach House is our largest cottage, it is the end section of a very large barn. Its name derives from in its former life, the property housed the old horse drawn hay wagon and would have had 2 large barn doors covering the entire opening which is now the beautiful glazed entrance, timber cladding and upstairs bedroom window
The space
Located on Hermitage Working Farm, this quaint Grade II-listed barn conversion is perfect for couples, friends, families and four-pawed pups wanting an escape from the daily hustle and bustle with miles of scenic footpaths to explore.
If walking in the countryside is your thing then you might well have found the perfect place with an abundance of footpaths and bridleways that meander through the surrounding area. Alton Towers is just 6 miles away and offers rides for the thrill-seekers and CBeebies land for the little ones. Steam Railway Churnet Valley is half a mile away and provides a wonderful opportunity to hop on a steam train and enjoy the area. At the bottom of the valley is the Caldon Canal with miles of waterside walkways to enjoy. Within a 25-mile drive of Stoke, Derby and Stafford, this retreat has plenty to explore yet sits in a peaceful setting, perfect for a relaxing break.
Step inside the lovely hallway and hang up coats and boots before moving into the kitchen/diner. Here you’ll find an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher, making cooking and cleaning no fuss while away. Share a meal at the dining table before putting your feet up in the lounge after a memorable day out – pop something on the TV and unwind. There is a handy double sofa bed in the lounge and a ground-floor shower room with a shower and WC. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom offering an impressive, vaulted ceiling, TV and en-suite shower and WC. There is a further twin bedroom with a TV and an en-suite shower and WC.
