Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: I loved the old world atmosphere of the inn. The location was excellent, right in the centre of the village and handy for the historic Tye and the shops. The breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Negative: The shower was over the bath. The side of the bath was very high and, being nearly 80 years old, I was unable to get my leg over the side , so couldn't have a shower. The time for breakfast was late, between 9.00-10.00 a.m. The morning I departed I had to leave by 9.30a.m in order to catch my train, so I didn't have time for a cooked breakfast. There was no option to order an earlier breakfast if you needed it. My bed was comfortable, but sagged down on one side as if the mattress was tired and too many people had sat on the edge. I booked a room with a garden view, but my room looked out over roofs and it wasn't possible to see the garden.
