Summary: Great location in a quiet village. Staff were friendly and good good. Room was the suite and although quite dated was clean and comfortable. Bathroom desperately needs refurbishment with cracks in sink and vinyl flooring wearing thin,1990's style. Carpets in corridors and room grubby and in need of a clean but bedding and rest of room clean enough for a good stay. We were the only room occupied and going down to breakfast at 9am we found no staff and the restaurant and bar areas locked. Finally a couple of members of staff turned up at 920am so luckily we did not have to be somewhere otherwise we would not have had time to eat. All in all a pleasant stay but if you are looking for 'lovely' this is not for you. It will remain 'ok' until they up their game. Could be amazing with some TLC.
