Wilkinsyke Farm Cottage is a traditional farm cottage situated in the gorgeous village of Buttermere, surrounded by spectacular mountains and dramatic scenery. A perfect base for walkers to explore the many walking routes nearby, including Haystacks, High Stile, Red Pike and Robinson, to name but a few.
The village is nestled between Buttermere and Crummock Water and benefits from two excellent pubs, both offering food and real ales, Croft House Farm cafe serving butties, cakes and ice cream, and Syke tea room serves excellent breakfasts.
This delightful Lake District holiday cottage comes with parking for one car and secure storage for bicycles, if required, and a lawn garden adjacent to the property.
If you wish to explore further afield, Keswick is just 10-miles away, over Newlands Pass. There is a regular daytime bus service between Keswick and Buttermere in the summer months.

Ground floor central hallway leading to the living room, kitchen and stairs.
The living room benefits from a fabulous wood-burning stove, comfy sofas and a Freesat TV. View onto Robinson Fell.
The spacious kitchen is equipped with an electric hob, oven, microwave, toaster, separate under counter fridge and freezer, and a drop leaf dining table. There are stunning lake views of Haystacks, High Stile and Red Pike from the kitchen window.
Off the kitchen is the bathroom with a bath, a shower cubicle and a basin. Adjacent to the bathroom is the WC.
Upstairs, a reading room with sofa and next door is the spacious bedroom with a king0size double bed, dressing table, storage and fantastic views again or Robinson Fell.
Things To Note
Weekly arrivals on a Saturday. Short breaks are not available. Dogs, unfortunately, aren't permitted because of the livestock and the working collie dogs.
Electric heating radiators throughout the property.
The property has no Wi-Fi, and the mobile signal is limited. Free Wi-Fi is available at the neighbouring Tea Room and the local pub.
The cottage is available from the start of April to the end of October only.
On-site parking for one car. There is also secure storage for bicycles if required.
The nearest shop/supermarket is either Cockermouth - 11mi or Keswick - 10mi. Home shopping delivery is available through Tesco and Sainsbury's.
