The Snug is a cosy, self-contained studio retreat down a no through lane, set in beautiful fields & woodland with just two neighbours. The perfect spot from which to explore the countryside, with woodland footpaths and babbling brooks from the driveway, deer to spot and our chickens to meet. Once in the car, the coast is 45 minutes away, Sherborne and its history just 10 minutes & local eateries even closer. Enjoy your own parking, outside space, ensuite and kitchenette with double bed & sofa bed, plus an EV charger.

We provide a hamper for your first breakfast, with homemade & locally sourced goodies.

The space
The Snug is your own personal cosy spot in a rural idyll. It is small but perfectly formed, with a small en-suite and a mini-kitchen (including a small fridge, portable hob, toaster and kettle with all the essentials for preparing a simple supper or decadent breakfast). It has been completely refurbished and we have tried to add a personal touch with some recycled and home-crafted elements. We hope you will love the space inside as much as we are sure you will love the space outside!

There is a double bed and a sofa bed for lounging. The sofa bed is best suited to children or a close friend, since there is no division between the bed and sofa (and it is only a sofa bed, so we can't promise it is quite as comfy as a real one!). Please let us know if you need the sofa bed as well as the bed for two guests, as there is an additional charge for the sofa bed (due to laundry). If you’re bringing an infant, you will need to bring your own travel cot please.

Outside, you'll find your own seating area and plenty of parking as well as our electric vehicle charger (use of which will incur a charge for the cost). You are welcome to explore our garden and meet the chickens and cats. At the end of the drive are footpaths in three directions, one of which takes you through a woodland area which seems to have been populated by fairies (something for children to enjoy!).

The quality of local independent pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops is second to none and you can even take one of our mapped walks to get to the local pub, the local brunch cafe or the bakery.

Upon booking, we will send you a guidebook with all of the details about the accommodation as well as lots of local tips, including events to look out for and seasonal change in our natural surroundings. We are very, very proud of our little corner of Dorset, so please do ask!

Please note that we are in a rural area and our internet connection is not guaranteed nor brilliant. It works but it isn’t the fastest and we often can’t solve things after a storm without BT coming out, which can be a couple of days. Please bear this in mind.
