Explore castles including Bodiam, vineyards and sample some very fine wines; gardens including the masterpiece at Sissinghurst created by Vita Sackville West and Harold Nicholson. Good rail connections from Paddock Wood to London can be reached in 50 minutes. Alternatively, head to Ashford and take the train to Paris in time for drinks.
