Linton is one of the most picturesque villages in the Dales. Skipton is the nearest main town, just 10 miles away. It plays host to a bustling market, and at the head of its broad sweeping, cobbled high street, stands an impressive Norman castle. Skipton offers canal cruises, golf and an indoor swimming pool together with a wide selection of shops. The National Trust site of Fountains Abbey and the historic city of York make for enjoyable days out.
