The beach is about a ½-mile away and Ty Capel Gosen makes a great base from which to explore the area, with Caernarfon with its mighty Edward I castle, and Welsh Highland Railway within easy reach, as is the beautiful Llyn Peninsula with a selection of glorious sandy beaches.
