The house has uninterrupted views across Cleggan bay over to Cleggan Head and a clear evening guarantees a spectacular sunset. Just a short walk from the village, you can take a trip out to Inishbofin for the day or enjoy a pint and crab salad in Olivers while watching the local fishermen unloading their catch.
There are numerous beaches just a short drive away including the famous Anchor beach and of course the stunning expanse of Omey beach and island. The Bothy is just 15mins from Clifden town with its numerous shops, restaurants, and bars. The Connemara National Park and Kylemore abbey are just 15mins in the other direction. This is a great location is you are planning to go exploring the hills, catch some fish or just enjoy quiet village life. There is also pony trekking centre in the village, about a 2 min walk from the bothy.
