Sea front position overlooking the famous Walpole Bay, Walpole Views has three sea views...from lounge, bedroom and balcony you can watch the sea & the world go by. Georgian inspired interior, elegance & sophistication combined with comfort.
We've been told our apartment is the 'loveliest in all of Margate'. Panoramic views, modern kitchen, separate shower & bath (with TV!), comfy bed, balcony off the bedroom with sofas. It's a perfect sanctuary for a restful holiday by the sea.
Walpole View is on the second floor, when you step into the living area you will immediately see the sea. It takes your breath away.
We have golden sandy beaches on our doorstep, plus the world famous Walpole Bay Tidal Pool which attracts wild swimmers. You can see the Tidal Pool from our lounge.
If you prefer a home, then our apartment is home from home. It is thoughtfully decorated with gorgeous details that make it just that extra bit special.
*LOUNGE*
The lounge has two sofas, one positioned so you can watch TV, the other so you can watch the ever changing sea scape - no matter whether it is winter or summer - the views are mesmerizing. Pick up our binoculars and watch the swimmers and the boats bobbing along.
*DINING AREA*
We have a full size dining table (no perching on a breakfast bar) where you can enjoy a meal, play a board game (we have a selection for you to enjoy) or set-up a laptop and pretend to work whilst looking at the sea.
*KITCHEN*
The compact kitchen is fully spec'd with beautiful blue cupboards and quartz worktop. You will find everything you need to cook up a delicious meal, or warm up a meal in the microwave - whatever your preference. We do also have a washing machine.
*BEDROOM*
The bedroom has a double bed, plenty of storage and a balcony where you can wake up to sea views. The balcony has comfortable seating with cushions so you can relax with a drink in the sun.
*BATHROOM*
Finally, the bathroom, what a showpiece. Full size bath with a separate shower, gorgeous tiling, ornaments and a TV you can watch in the bath. After a day exploring Margate and Cliftonville you can have a spa like experience in this beautiful space.
We love our Margate holiday home, it's amazing spot overlooking the sea is just so special and we have made the flat a home with lots of lovely ornaments, period furniture and our own unique styling. We love welcoming guests to our special place and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. The location offers easy access to both Margate and Cliftonville - pretty much on the doorstep of both.
Full access to the apartment with the exception of 1 bedroom which is locked for owner's storage.
There is a balcony off the guest bedroom with comfortable seating and we welcome you to use this balcony.
The balconies off the lounge have limited access and for your own safety we ask that you refrain from using them.
Shared access to the communal stairs

You can walk to Margate Old Town along the Queens Promenade where you will find artists, furniture stops, clothing and the famous Turner Gallery. Our apartment is on the edge of Cliftonville, described by Time Out as the 8th Coolest Place in the World. Northdown Road (5 min walk) is the Cliftonville centre with a plethora of interesting antique stores, reclaimed furniture, new furniture, eclectic art shops, great cafes catering for all. We'd recommend you check out the Cliftonville Market and take afternoon tea at Walpole Bay Hotel (2 minutes) walk. If you enjoy sea swimming the Walpole Bay tidal pool is one of the largest in the country and provides a safe swim area throughout the year. The sandy beaches of Margate go on for miles and miles. Plenty to do throughout the year in Margate and easy to access the other local towns, Broadstairs/Ramsgate (both with their own distinct characteristics). Further field is the fascinating cathedral city of Canterbury - well worth a visit.
There is free parking on the street, however in the height of season this can be busy. We recommend that you look to park in neighbouring streets such as Norfolk Road and Harold Road. Alternatively you can unload you bags at the property and move car to a public car park (paid for) at the top of Harold Rd. It's approx 5 minute walk back to the property.
There is a bus stop Northdown Rd (approx 5 minute walk) where there is a regular service into Margate & Broadstairs.
If you prefer to walk, Margate is a gentle stroll from the apartment, along the coastal walkway. It takes about 10-15 minutes to reach the centre of Margate on foot.
The apartment is in a well maintained building, with newly decorated communal hallways and entrance door. There are residents in the building so we do ask that you are quiet and respectful, in return you will find the apartment is peaceful haven.
The fireplace is purely decorative and not a working fire.
The 2 x balconies off the lounge area are difficult to access and we ask that you do not go out on them. There is an easily accessible balcony off the bedroom where we have comfortable seating and you can enjoy seaviews.
