Summary: Very quaint and "English" with wood beams, low doorways etc. We stayed two weeks during a #4 lockdown because of covid-19, but it did not matter to us as we were just hanging out with our son over the Xmas Holidays. The issues that concerned us were small, but I am sure the owners would appreciate some suggestions to help them get the 5 stars that they deserve. The heat was calibrated to turn OFF at night when temperatures got down to freezing, so the owners changed this, but timed it so the heating went off in the afternoon instead. In December you need heat 24 hours a day. There are no exterior garbage bins, so all refuse had to be stored inside, and the cottage is small, with no storage space. We had problems with the TV and the TV remote that malfunctioned. Although neat and tidy, the nooks, corners, and crevices got missed when last cleaned. The Villagers are delightful and there is a very good local co-op in town, however, because of Lockdown 4, the pubs and restaurants were shut. There are plenty of local paths and bye-ways to explore and nearby towns are interesting to go to. With an array of supermarkets about 20-25 minutes away.
