Positive: Fantastic property in a beautiful location We had a truly wonderful stay at this fantastic holiday home, set in a peaceful and picturesque location. The setting is perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature—we saw wildlife every day, including two deer peeking into the garden, which made our mornings extra special. The house itself is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with everything thoughtfully provided. It’s really well equipped for both short and long-term stays, especially for families. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living spaces were comfortable and inviting, and the bedrooms were cosy with blackout curtains that ensured a great night’s sleep. We really appreciated the strong heating system (especially on chilly mornings), the convenience of the washer/dryer, and the generous outdoor space which was perfect for a morning coffee or evening wind-down. There’s plenty of parking, which made coming and going stress-free. The location is excellent for exploring the area—Castle Hill offers stunning views, Holmfirth is full of charm and character, and the nearby villages such as Denby Dale and Meltham are well worth a visit. For families, Cannon Hall Farm is a fantastic day out with animals, a play area, and lovely food options. Also the free Tolson Museum was amazing. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of care into making this a welcoming and well-maintained home away from home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and would happily return.
