This year voted the third best UK staycation village, it sits above the Lathkill Dale, the Peak Park's most pristine walking and private fishing spot. The Lathkil Pub boasts great food and spectacular views. The house is ideal for families or business travellers and is a perfect romantic hideaway. Gorgeous walks and stunning scenery make it a beautiful spot all year round.
The space
Hallyard House is a modern cottage build, built from the remains of a barn which once stood on this site, on the hall yard of the now demolished Haddon House. It's little haven, well appointed and stunningly decorated... modern boutique luxury in the heart of rural England. A newly landscaped cottage garden welcomes you to a safely walled and gated spot for long summer days, while our wood burning stove for those cosy cold nights in. Full SKY/Netflix package.
Guest access
The entire home is available for guests, with each room equipped for a restful retreat. Outside is a large patio, full sun/part shaded enclosed garden, separate driveway, walks aplenty, rolling views, a play park easily accessible for the kids should you need...
Other things to note
There isn't provision for cots, but plenty of room to bring your own. Some children's plastic utensils and cutlery are provided.
The house is shoe free, and smoke-free
If you wish to bring furry friends, please ask. We may be happy to accommodate couple of dogs who is used to sleeping downstairs. A nominal extra cleaning charge may be levied for this. The house is for 9 max, but nine adults is a bit of a push really.
We expect guests to treat the house with the care in which we have prepared it for you.
Please try to resist blueback and sellotape on balloons and banner, and glitter etc etc. I'm sure celebrations will be as special without, but they are a nightmare to clean up.
Car charging is available on request at a cost of £20 per weekend stay ( sorry we used to include this but electricity prices have made this impossible).
