With an open-plan layout, French windows open into the light and airy kitchen dining/lounge area, with a beamed ceiling which goes up to the rafters, wooden floor and comfortable seating. One corner is occupied by a well-equipped modern kitchen. An archway leads into the bedroom, with comfortable double bed and en-suite shower room. The accommodation is all on one level and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Set in the conservation village of Chelmorton, 6 miles from Buxton and 8 miles from Bakewell, there are walks from the door and beautiful countryside to explore in every direction, plus a traditional village pub The Church Inn (which welcomes dogs) serving good food just a 5 minute walk.

Buxton's beautiful little Opera House is just 6 miles away and offers year-round entertainment plus the acclaimed Buxton Festival in the summer. Manchester, Sheffield and Derby are less than an hour away.
There are endless opportunities for walking and cycling. Less than a mile from Swallow Barn are the Monsal Trail and the High Peak/Tissington Trail, old railway lines converted into wonderful traffic-free routes perfect for cycling and walking.
