Positive: Beautifully and immaculately refurbished. Generous rooms and exceptional bathrooms. Kitchen very well equipped. Use of facilities at Matfen Hall is great. Staff there very helpful.

Negative: Very little - location is on main road however and although secondary glazing could hear cars passing but not a busy road but may be useful for some to know. Although black out lining on window dressings Clocktower room wasn’t dark enough for me and would benefit from additional blinds for this. Also the clock chimes from 9am so anyone wanting to lie in may want to know this. Not a problem for us but could be for some.
