Heading south-east, the charming Georgian town of Blandford Forum (3 miles) lies along the meeting point of the gorgeous Dorset National Landscape and the majestic Cranborne Chase National Landscape. The town has a range of friendly eateries, pubs and boutique shops, and is home to the Blandford Fashion Museum. Other attractions and landmarks include the Royal Signals Museum, Hod Hill, Hambledon Hill and the stunning Venetian palace-style Kingston Lacy, all within 10 miles.

There’s a central farmhouse-style dining table, with a tastefully arranged and fully equipped corner kitchen to the rear.

From the lounge, bi-fold doors lead out into the sweet, fully enclosed walled garden. A step leads down to the patio which features outdoor furniture and makes a charming spot for dining alfresco on a sunny afternoon. The garden also has a pretty lawn and a characterful old brick outhouse with some storage for wet weather gear if needed and a cosy seating area for two.
