1 Bedroom House in Long Crendon
The Coach House is a perfect space for 2 people - the bedroom is on the mezzanine level and the bathroom is downstairs. The bathroom is basic but functional, with a bath and shower. There is a smart television with netflix, catch-up TV and Amazon Prime and a private garden for enjoying a drink on a warm evenings.
The Coach House was built in the 16th Century It is a separate house but is attached to our house by a thatched archway. The popular series Midsummer Murders is often filmed in Long Crendon and our house and the High Street has appeared in it many times. The Coach House has also been a police station in the series Jeeves and Wooster.
ABOUT LONG CRENDON
Long Crendon has two pubs - the Eight Bells (which is out of the gate, turn right and it’s 2 doors down on the right) and the Churchill arms which is a 5 minute walk away. The Eight Bells serves good pub food and delicious stone baked pizzas which you can eat-in or takeaway. The Churchill Arms is more of a drinking pub although it does serve food.
In the village square - turn right out of the gate and it’s a 5mins walk, there is an Indian restaurant, a butcher, a café, a corner shop, an off-licence and a fish and chip shop. There is a cashpoint machine in both the corner shop and the off-licence. There are also 2 hairdressers in the village.
Opening in September 2018, a 5mins walk away just by the village square, will be a farm shop, an artisan bakery and a café. Velvet Brown which sells beautiful flower arrangements and gorgeous gifts will also be situated next to the new farm shop and café.
Our favorite local restaurant is the Mole and Chicken, which is on the outskirts on the village – lovely views of countryside from the terrace. It is possible to walk there in 15mins although there isn’t a pavement or street lights so if you are walking there in the evening please remember to take a torch. There is a torch in the laundry room for you to use.
There are paperback fiction books in the white cupboard in the sitting room for you to read so please help yourself but if you only get halfway through a book and want to take it away with you we’d be grateful if you could leave a book in its place.
The High Street is a generally quiet area and therefore the Coach House is not suitable for parties or large gatherings. The Eight Bells Pub does have jazz evenings in the summer months but there is rarely any music after 11pm.
We are also 4 miles from Haddenham & Thame Station (London 35 minutes)

Thame is our nearest town – a 3mins drive – which has shops, cafes and restaurants.
