The Retreat is a modern end terraced mews style cottage nestled in a secluded cul de sac in Christchurch, Dorset. The accommodation consists of an open plan living area with vaulted ceilings and skylight windows creating a light and airy environment. Two bedrooms accommodate four people and there is a three piece luxury bathroom with shower. There is a secure enclosed garden and patio area outside. The property has a reserved parking space in the grounds.
The cottage is located a short walk from Stanpit Marsh Nature Reserve and Christchurch’s historic town centre is 10 minutes on foot . Mudeford Quay and Avon Beach, both popular family beaches, are a 5 minute drive away. The New Forest, Poole and Bournemouth are all a short drive away. Buses to Bournemouth and Poole stop at the end of the road. There are an amazing 12 miles of sandy and shingle beaches adjacent to Christchurch. Most of them hold the prestigious blue flag award for cleanliness.
Mudeford Quay sits at the entrance of Christchurch Harbour and is the home of the towns thriving fishing community which provides much of the produce for the Quays fish stall. The picturesque Quay houses a handful of fisherman’s cottages and there are spectacular views along the coast and across to the Isle of Wight. Crabbing is a popular pastime and it is from here that the passenger ferry runs across to Hengistbury Head.
