Mum or dad got a birthday?... having a catch up with friends?... a girlie pamper weekend?... For only £95pp payable after booking we can offer: Afternoon tea is plentiful and tasty, we can have it delivered with use of a gorgeous crockery set also. Treatments include massage, facials, reiki, reflexology and are just wonderful. A 3 course privately cheffed meal can be arranged at the lodge and is such a treat! (Chef is subject to availability). Add on a cocktail class and meal at Harvey’s bar 7 mins walk away and you have an amazing weekend! :) **Please note: please see the house rules at the end of this description to check we are the right fit for your stay if you are a hen or birthday group, as we aren’t a party house**. Sleeping max 16 people in comfy beds with luxury bedding, this 5 bed house is spacious and private, with complimentary use of its own fantastic hot tub perfectly accessible from the house and sitting in a huge private garden backing onto Jumble Wood. Within walkable distance the Lodge has a gorgeous family pub serving meals late and a 5* rated cocktail bar/bar kitchen - perfect for groups wanting a night out with no taxis!
It’s a mere 25 mins to Leeds for shopping, 5 mins to gorgeous Kirkburton village with its cafes, boutique shops and restaurants and a short drive to beautiful Holmfirth. There are lots of activities available to enhance your stay!! Fantastic countryside in which to bike, walk, fish, golf... group bookings welcome for all these activities all available within a short drive or literally on the doorstep!
There is secure parking for up to 10 cars on a huge drive and the massive garden is great for children. Well behaved pets are very welcome as long as house rules referring to pets are adhered to. There is a utility room attached to the house for muddy paws and boots etc... We look forward to welcoming you and your group in the future! As advertised, we are a quieter, relaxed stay - normal conversation and laughter at residential levels—both indoors and in the garden—are absolutely fine. We want you to have a wonderful time!
However… loud drunken behaviour, shouting, screaming, karaoke, or amplified music that disturbs the peace at any time from any member of a group will result in the entire group being asked to leave immediately, without refund or alternative accommodation provided.
As advertised, we are not a ‘hen party venue’ at all and operate strict policies on noise and respectful conduct to protect both our business and neighbouring properties. We are a ladies pamper weekend break. Whilst low music and games indoors is perfectly fine, **any outdoor music and garden-based hen party games are not permitted under any circumstances at any time**. Please ensure everyone accepts this before securing a booking as outdoor noise rules aren’t there to be broken.
To respect neighbouring properties, we ask that all outdoor socialising move indoors by 10:00 PM all year-round - this is important to note as it has to be strict to adhere to our noise policy that is usual with most large lets in our area. If the 10pm outdoor socialising curfew is broken and/or there is excessive noise disturbing the peace and we have to contact you to deal with this via this site or directly, then the damage deposit will be charged in full. **This is very important for all guests to note before booking and it is the lead booker’s responsibility to make sure everyone accepts**. They will be asked to give all guests sight of these terms of stay and a booking is an acceptance of these terms in full by everyone.
Guests on pamper or hen weekends must generally be aged 25 or over, unless accompanied by close family members (e.g. a 23-year-old niece attending with her aunt). We do not accept all-male groups or stag bookings. 30th birthday celebrations are only permitted if they are family-focused and low-key.
Only services provided by our trusted in-house professionals may be used during your stay; unknown third-party suppliers are not permitted.
The property accommodates a maximum of 16 guests at any time.
The hot tub is complimentary and will available until 10:00 PM each evening whereby we ask guests to close up, then reopening and rebalanced early the following morning. Please bring your own towels and flip flops for hot tub use. In cases of contamination due to incorrect use (e.g. murky or green water) the hot tub will be switched off and unavailable for the rest of the stay. There are full instructions of how to avoid this given before stay.
If your group includes smokers or vapers, please let us know in advance, as we may allow a very limited number. If large groups are outside vaping/smoking, then they will be asked to leave.
Parking is available for up to 10 vehicles and outdoor areas are monitored by CCTV.
During school holidays, midweek bookings require a 3-night minimum (except between Christmas and New Year, when a 2-night stay is available).
We are pet-friendly and offer a large, secure garden for dogs to enjoy. However, please note it may not be fully escape-proof, so supervision is required. Pets must not be on furniture or in bedrooms and must be clean when inside the house. All pet waste must be bagged and disposed of in the outside bin. Pets must never be left alone in the property at any time.
